Shanghai Trip Part 1

First time being to Shanghai...
In a cold weather somemore...
Not much expectation from this trip as my perception to China is not so good after heard so many negative comment from other people...

But after come back from Shanghai...
I dont think it's that bad...
Somehow i like the city!

Here is the Nanjing road...
Lots of tall building, just the the Orchard Road in Singapore...

With my colleagues...

We walked along the Nanjing, look for anything nice that we can get...

It's quite a long walk actually, and we gave up at last...

Cause the weather so cold and we were so lazy to walk further...

So we decided to take the city sightseeing bus....
The ticket cost RMB30, which is about RM15, valid for 24 hours with unlimited rides...

It's very worth!

The bus! A bit like the "Panorama Bus" in Melaka...

It's double decker bus....

We sit at the open-air seat...

It's freaking cold!

We stopped at Yu Yuan Garden....

Visited the Old City God's Temple...

We took our lunch at the food court inside the Yu Yuan Garden..

See the "pau".... It's look weird with the straw right?

Haha... It's actually not "pau" that we eat normally...

It's the soup...

We ate the famous "xiao long pau"

Fried dunpling!

Sesame dim sum & "fried fish"... like tempura....

Chicken stick and the lotus leaf steam rice..

Fried crab..

Fried rice, steamed rice, pork & vege...

Frankly said, i cant get use the their food...

I'm not sure it's because of cold weather or the watever..

All the foods served not hot at all except the soup..

It's seems like we eating the leftover food...

After lunch, we hang out at Starbucks Coffee...

The most visited place during the Shanghai trip!

Sipping a hot coffee in a cold weather... it's so enjoyful!

Then, we walked around Yu Yuan Garden...

You can get a lot of nice things here...

It's a heaven for the ladies...

Where you can get a lots of accessories like earrings, necklace, brooches...etc

You can get souvenirs for fren and family from here as well..

We walked til night time...

Then back to Nanjing road...

Here were the night view at Nanjing Road...

I saw this restaurant, owned by the Taiwan artist - Barbie Hsu's husband...

It' great to have steamboat in the cold weather..

We went for 1 of the steamboat shop at Nanjing Road...

The sauces....

We ordered 3 types of sauce, but i only can remember 1.. the pepper sauce...

Steamboat soup...

One is the normal soup, another one is the super spicy soup with a lots of spices ....

The ingredients...

We had a great dinner!

That's all for part 1..
