2014 Christmas Celebration

Time flies.... There goes 2014...

Before bid goodbye to 2014, the yearly Xmas gathering shall not be missed.
This year we did it at the Japanese Restaurant - Sushi Zanmai
Newly open at "The Shore" Melaka.

My baby girl and me... both in red to suit the xmas festival

Group photo - for our memory when we grow older

We have a lot of chats on what is going on this year and what is coming up next year...
It seems like GST becomes a hot topic... :p

This year the little girl got a lot of Christmas gifts...

1.) Fishing games from the grandma

2.) Kitten bag from eldest aunt

3) Fisher Price Nursery Rhymes Piano Book from the youngest aunt

4.) Disney princess pencil case from the er gu.

5.) Kitty and some body lotion (what I get from the exchange gift)
But then it becomes little girl's toy

6.) Pororo meal set from her daddy
Her favourite gift

There is another Alphabet Board & a Mickey Mouse skirt from the aunty and uncle but I didn't snap the photos.

The little girl is pampered too much by her aunty and uncle...
Recalled my childhood, i don't even celebrate xmas and get so much gifts...
My Xmas normally just stay at home and watch TV.
Kids nowadays are so lucky..

This year Xmas we celebrated in Singapore again..
Will share the Xmas deco in SG later...

BITES

So I had totally forgot to update my blog...
2014 going to end soon but I still stay far behind..
All the target set earlier not achieve...
And I had been given myself too much sweet time...
I shall really plan out what I want to achieve in the next year...

Long time didn't post any food post..
Here is the latest restaurant that I went in Melaka..
It's called "BITES"

The environment really good with the modern decoration...

I like the table setting eventually

This was what I had ordered -> pesto curry pasta.
On top is some special sauce chicken...
Quite unique and I like the taste...
But the pasta too soft..

This was what hubby ordered.. Grilled chicken with 2 side dishes..
Can spot the "fries"
The restaurant "special" side dishes... It's call Benang Fries
And baby Jovianne like it so much

Come to the last part---> the desserts
There is one Bee macaroon but already in Jovianne's mouth before I remember to snap photo

This was Rainbow cake
Soft & creamy, not too sweet
I would recommend to "cake lovers"

 Me and baby Jovianne...
Spot the Bee macaroon in her hand :p

Ok... will share more food post soon....

Japan trip - Mount Fuji

One of the this year target: to update my blog more frequently...
Hopefully I can do it!!!

Throwback to my Japan trip on last year November...
A free and easy trip with our frens..
We travel to Tokyo, Kyoto and Osaka in 6.5 days...
What a rush trip!!!
Basically all the theme park not in our list...

JR pass is a must for our trip...
It's just like a magical pass to go thru all the JR line except certain route which u may read from their website...

We reach during evening...
Basically we just looked for our hotel and had supper at 1 am (fattening)
Their convenient store are amazing...
I'm like visiting their store every night or whenever we looked for some snack...

Second day, we planned to go Mount Fuji...
We took bus so that we no need to change station...(lazy)
People will advice to book earlier but we decided at last minute so not manage to book ticket..
Luckily still have ticket..
Returned trip ticket is like 3400 yen per person..

Rushing, no time for proper breakfast, so these were what we had in the bus...

Winter season can not climb the mount, so we went to Kawaguchi Lake...
The ticket to take their retro bus...
1000yen per person and the ticket is actually a postcard.. *damn nice

Here are the retro bus that take us to go around the Kawaguchi Lake

The last stop, we visited the "Flower Street"...
The scenery here is breath-taking..

 Isn't it beautiful..
Can see the Mount Fuji at the back?

The nearer photo....
Snowing on the peak of the mountain....

Then we went to look for some foods...

 Direct translate... "Grass cookies"
Outer layer is tasteless eventually...

Weather was cold...
Even after ate some foods also felt cold...
November no sakura but we got foliage leave...Beautiful right?
Me and hubby like here so much!!!

Before back, must buy some famous Fujiyama cookies....

Mount Fuji view in the evening...
Quiet place and it's really a good place for relaxing...

How to make pizza

Try to do some pizza...
Here are the ingredients for pizza dough

1 1/2 cups of self-raising flour
pinch of salt
1 egg
2 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 cup of milk

Procedure:
Sift the self-raising flour & salt into a bowl and make a well in the centre.
In a separate bowl, beat together egg with olive oil and milk
Stir into self-raising flour & mix all the ingredients into soft dough
Turn mixture onto a floured surface and knead lightly.
Divide the dough into half
Roll evenly and put on an oily tray...
Top with favourite topping...
Then bake in a preheated oven at 200 deg C for 15- 20 mins.

remark: can reduce the milk to prevent dough too sticky

Here are the topping I put:
Tomato spread + capsicum + mini sausage + Muar otak-otak + cheddar cheese

Baking done... yum yum...

I guess not cheesy enough, should put some mozzarella cheese next time...
