Smelly Tofu

This was really smelly....

I cant stand the smell...

And it's taste not good at all....

I stop taken it after eating 2 or 3 pcs....

So good if i can have tea break everyday!!!

鸡窝包

I went to my fren's house on Friday....
And she bought this for me...
As our supper....
It's called “鸡窝包”in mandarin...
I dont know what they called in English...
It's actually a glutinous rice with chicken made stuffing inside a buns...
I never try this before in Melaka...
It's so special...


Look at the fillling inside..
Juicy & tempting...

I know eating supper is fattening...

But i just cant resist it...

Simply Fish at Melaka Raya

I'm celebrating my Lunar birthday @ Simply Fish Restaurant....
The place where me and Da Bao start our first date...

The owner had turned the restaurant into an ocean...

Sweet and smell good...

Da Bao ordered this, Balinese fish...
It's spice up my appertize....

The fish is soft ...

The dish come with salad and butter rice or chips...

Definitely we chooose chips... :)

It's Markerel fish with some special sauce...

I dont like this cause it had some smell which i cant accept...

So i exchange with Da Bao.. :p

Happy Lunar Birthday to Me

My mum called me up ...

Mum: "Is aunty at home?"
Me: " No, why?"
Mum: " Oh... wanna ask her to boil some eggs."
Me: "Wat for?:
Mum: "It's ur Lunar bday ma.... thought wana ask her boil eggs for u....bla...bla...bla"

I dont even know it's my Lunar Birthday...
Only she will remember well everything ab me and my siblings...

My mum is a traditional type woman....
For her, during bday, we must have "mi shua and boiled egg"...
So she will prepare for all of us everytime our Lunar bday...
But i had no chnce to eat that after i start my university life....
Everytime my Lunar birthday, me and her always apart...
Either me or she will not be in Melaka...
She feel so guilty cause could not prepare that for me....
That is why she call up to make sure someone cook the "mi shua and boiled egg" for me
But too bad,
Nobody can cook for me...
I still do not have the chance to eat mi shua and boiled egg... -_-

Anyway, i stil feel happy when my mum called....
An expression of care really better than anything else...

Mary's Ji Mui

21st May 2011 is my fren's big day....
Definitely we are assigned to be her "ji mui" on the wedding day...

We plays lots of games before the grooms successfully get the bride.
Pity all the best man, need to wear disposable panties,
put on lipstick & kissing among each others,
drink a very bad taste juice (mix of peanut butter, chili sauce, vinegar & coffee)
and do the Yoga pose....
But i really impressed by them cause they are the most cooperative & funny "best man"...

Old Market, Phnom Penh

Lots of writer / travellers said " if u wanna know a place better, if u wanna know the local people better, then u shall visit their market"
So here i am....
At the Phnom Penh Old Market...
Busy street selling foods, vegetables, fruits, meat....
Not only that, old some clothes, toys, snacks as well...
Combination of wet and dry market...


Spot my favourite fruits there ---Durian
Can find it easily there...

Lots of mandarin where they use to make fruit juice...

How they transfer the chicken to market by tie the chicken on the motorbike...


Pity the chicken lor...

Like the " Chicken rice " in Malaysia...

But it's really sweet...

Killing Field

The next destination that u shall visit after S-21 ...
The Killing Field....
Sound scary right...

Here i am...

This pagoda actually is the place where the placed the skulls for the victims which were killed at the Killing Field.
I didnt take a closer photo cause i'm really scare to see the skulls...


This is the place where the victims were tortured to die/ killed / bury alive...
That's the name come --- Killing Field

Another road where you can walk around..

There is a museum inside...

There have a video section where you can understand more about their history...

I joint the video section...

But i was tired and i fall asleep *piak... slap my forehead...

Feel sorry but i just cant help it...

I would say there is nothing special about this place...

If you are rush for time, you can skip this...

The entrance fee is USD 2 per person...

Cocktail....

Gone thru a tiring Saturday....
I had slept from 5pm to 7pm...
Woke up to have my dinner....
Continue to sleep after dinner...
And i had slept more than 10 hrs...
Feel so fresh now and couldnt sleep...
Da bao make me a cocktail...
London gin added with some softdrink....
With a slice of lemon...
Uhmmm... tasty....
It's so enjoy reading book on bed...
With a glass of cocktail...


Life is good.... So good!!!

Why must go S-21...

Our first destination to Cambodia is Phnom Penh...
Which is the capital for Cambodia...
Compare to amazing Angkor Wat in Seam Reap...
I shall say Phnom Penh is much more quiet city compare to Seam Reap...
The tourist here also lesser compare to Seam Reap...
However, Phnom Penh is the best place to see the history of Cambodia during the Khmer Rouge period...
The hard time that the Cambodian ppl gone thru under the rule of Pol Pot...
The starvation and the forced labour...
They only given with porridge where it's just a water with only a few grains inside...
And they are forced to work for long hours...

This is the place that you must go...
"Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum" or S-21

It's actually a high school which turn into Prison Camp...


Here is the grave where they recovered 14 victims's body...

The room where the victims was locked and being tortured....

Another building where more victims were locked inside...

The rooms inside are smaller....

This building more scary as i still can see blood on the floor...

And the container they used to put their food...

Outside the building, there is a bars which were use to hang and torture the victims.

This is really a good place for those who would like to understand the history of Cambodia under Khmer Rouge...

It's cost USD 2 dollar per person for the entrance fee...

Most common transport in Cambodia

Lots of people that go for free and easy tour worry most about their transport and accomodation...

Cause normally this 2 item will use up more than half of the trip's budget...

In Cambodia, this 2 item would not be a problem...

Cause we can easilly get a cheap transport ---Tuk Tuk

It's actually a motorbike with a coach attached to it...

Like a trishaw but with motor..

For the accomodation, not to worry...

There have a lots of hotels & guesthouses....

And the price from USD 8 onward....

It's only USD 15...

Very near to the old market and the Royal Palace...
It's an aircond room but without breakfast....

Reward

I had a short trip last week...
As part of the reward to me after a half year of hard work...

My mum always say i'm different from my sis...
My sis always look for something new....
And she would never ever bother to look at the stuff that my mum use during her teenage
Me is totally different...
I like old stuffs like vintage bag, vintage dress...

Got this postcard 2 days ago....
It's from Italy....
The country that i always i hope to visit one day...

This is the Tiber and the St Peters.
The night scenery around the Tiber and the St Peters is so nice...
When i see this place, it remind me of "The Lost Symbol"

This is the 2nd postcard, fr Italy as well...
It's the Trevi Fountain...

There is a traditional legends saying that if you throw a coin into the fountain, you will come back to here again...

I was thinking that if i got a chance to go there...

I want to throw in lots and lots of coins.....

But when i read more ab the legends...

It have other meaning...

If we throw in 2 coins, it will lead to a new romance...

And if we throw 3 coins, it will lead to either marriage or divorce...

Wau....

Then i better throw one... haha...
