Real Life Mr. Bean

I'm quite enjoy watching Mr. Bean, although some of his act is disgusting and some can be considered as insane.

Recently, i met a guy look like Mr Bean, in terms of hair style, face, sleepy eye, weird attitude and also the most important thing ---> disgusting act.

I was sitting next to him, try to concentrate on my work, but his act catched my sight. To my surprise, he was digging his nose in front of the public..... and he put his finger into his mouth after digging the "gold". His act is revolting and i cant believe i met such a disgusting guy.

December

Every year we will celebrate mum's birthday at home, this year we choose to celebrate at restaurant so that my mum won’t be busying preparing food on her birthday. We went to a restaurant at Malacca, quite famous for crab, but eventually we didn’t order crab as we had taste it during my brother's birthday last month.

We didn’t order much as most of my family member are ladies (and most of us are on diet).

We walked around at Jonker Street later on. Getting more and more people at Malacca making the traffic jam and car park always full. The street is so crowded due to school holiday and the Singapore tourist spending their weekend here.

Making a cheese cake

It was a three days holiday... No plan to go anywhere, so i decided to make a cheese cake that i planned long long time ago.


The plan was quite sudden, we dont have any recipe and we just search online the recipe and the method to bake a cheesecake. Once we got the info, we went to nearest supermarket to buy the ingredients: biscuits, cream cheese, icing sugar, eggs etc.

First, we started with the biscuit crust, we crushed the biscuit and mixed with butter. Then we put it in the pan firmly and added some orange on top of it. The biscuit crust was put it in the freezer.

After that, we beated the cream cheese with yogurt and eggs, followed by icing sugar and some cornstarch. Once the mixture mixed smoothly, we poured into the pan and bake for 1 hour at 160 deg C.

After baked, the cheese cake was kept in the refrigerator until ready to serve.




This is the first cheesecake that i had baked with my fren, although the biscuit crust not so nice, but the cheese is yummy. Really love cheesecake...

2012

Everyone is talking about the hottest movie of year 2009 - <2012>. I had watched this movie last week. It’s really a nice movie and I would encourage the people around me to watch this movie.

In the movie, we could see human fell down or being blew away like a toy, building collapsed, transportation smashed, earthquake, tsunami and all the natural disaster happened just within a few hours. The movie illustrated how the doomsday happened in the consequences of what human had done to the nature, the ecosystem and the earth. It was so real that made me felt worried and scared.

Is the scene we watched in the movie really will happen as what predicted? Nobody knows, but at least we can put in some effort to prevent this happen. Love the earth and appreciate what the god gives us.

How many compartment in your wallet

Have you ever count how many compartment in your wallet when you buying it?

I went to shopping with my friends last week. There was a bag and wallet promotion. My friend wanted to buy a wallet for her mum, so we stopped by to choose a suitable wallet. I found her took quite a long time to choose a wallet, and she kept counting on the compartment in the wallet. Then she throw to us one question.

" Do you know why most of the time the wallet with even number compartment still on rack even during the great sales?"

She told us a story about the number of compartment in the wallet. People had a believe that if your wallet have odd number compartment, it will help you to save money. After heard what she explained, we all took out our wallet and started to count on the number of compartment. My friend's wallet had an even number, the wallet followed her for the past 7-8 years. She said that's the reason she could not save money and she bought a new wallet on the spot.
My wallet had odd number compartment, but weird, i couldnt save a penny and i had been classify as shopaholic. Guess this saying does not work on me.

So, are you good in saving or good in spending? Faster grab your wallet and count how many compartment in it.

Suspense Drive

Have you ever trapped in the traffic? I guess most of us experience this especially those works in KL or Singapore. Trapped in traffic almost become their daily routine. How about trapped in water @ more serious case – flood? I guess not much people experience this.

Last Friday, me and my friend planned to have a walk at Jonker Street. But it’s started to rain before we reach there. The rain getting heavier and we decided to spend our boring night at somewhere. We can’t made decision on where to go, my friend drove the car while I was figuring where is the nice place to yum cha and have a chat. We end up turned into the junction to my secondary school.

Once we turned in, we just realize something was not right. The road was flooded by the downpour. There was one Proton Waja stuck at the roadside and the other car followed at behind also afraid to pass thru and stopped there as well. Oh my god! The drain was full of water and the road was on onrush of water. Almost 3 inch of tyre immersed in the water. We were panic and don’t know whether we should reverse or kept on moving. More and more cars turning in, there was no way we could reverse back and we were force to move forward. My friend was so worried and I can’t do anything except just telling her to keep pressing the pedal and move. At last, we able to cross the minor floodwater. My friend said she had been in a cold sweat while driving across the floodwater. Me too…

It’s really a suspense drive. At that moment, I can feel how terrifying were the people in Manila, Vietnam and some others place during the massive flooding.

Blur

I'm always in the "half-awake-half-sleep" mode every morning. No exception for today. When i was on my way to work, i heard an ambulance siren. Like usual, i can’t figure out where the siren came from and it’s always make me anxious. I thought the siren came from behind so i kept look at my rear mirror while tried to slow down my car. Then i realized all the car move aligns with me suddenly disappeared. They had stopped to let the ambulance came from the left hand side to drive across. It's too late for me to stop. No choice, I had to speed up and keep moving as the ambulance was waiting to cross over the road. I don’t mean to do this, very sorry for the people inside the ambulance. [sigh]

What did you do in this special date? Lots of people chosen this special date for their engagement or ROM. Include some of my frens. I feel happy for them and wish them happy forever with their love one.


What had i do on this special date? Well, i actually went to watch a lousy movie which i dead dead wanna see since its preview, but end up with disappoinment. This movie only entitled one star out of five. haha..


Although this date do not bring any special meaning to me, but it means a lot to those newly engaged couple and those celebrating their anniversary. Wish them have a wonderful moment in this special date and may all their dream come true. Cheers...

Twisties

Normally i will eat some snack when i'm watching tv. Yesterday when i was watching CSI, i asked my boyfriend is there any junk food for me. He replied me nothing left. Eventually, i went to kitchen to check out any snack that i can eat. And i found my favourite junk food- Twisties, although not my favourite flavour. My boyfriend just bought it and he hide it so i wouldnt find it. I told him i wanna eat that, initially he refuse to let me have it because he really don like me always eat junk food rather than the healthy meal. I begged him and insisted to have it, at last he gave it to me.

But before he handed to me, i heard he mumbling at the Twisties.

" Twisties ah Twisties, sorry ah... I cant save you. I had been trying very hard to hide u but she still able to find u...
Feel pity for u...
Ai... no choice d... i have to sacrifice u... "

I laughed non-stop when i heard he actually said that. I finished the whole packet of the Twisties with lots .. lots ... lots of satisfaction.

Irritating Month

Start from end of Aug to end of Sept, all the Muslim will fasting for one month before they celebrate Hari Raya. Fasting should not have anything to do with me, indeed it really bothering me much.

First, my working hour change to 8pm and i need to wake up 30 minutes earlier than before. This is killing me, almost every day i look like not enough sleep.

Second, i like the Malay cuisine especially their “kuih-muih”. I try to control myself but cant resist the food. To-date, i had put on weight nearly 2kg now.

Third, i spend more time on road every day, regardless going to work or back from work. The vehicles on the road suddenly increase, dunno where the cars from. And some irritating drivers like to jump queue at the traffic light causing me need to wait 3-4 rounds before my turn to move. This really piss me off.

Hopefully this month will end soon so that everything back to normal.

Unforgettable Day

I had promised my mum to bring her to Pengkalan Balak to see the turtle. To keep my word, i brought her there 2 weeks ago. We reached there about 2pm, the WWF society was having an activities there. We thought that we wont able to see the turtle, fortunately the person in-charge there still let us go in.

My mum was so happy to see the turtle and excited when she was given chance to hold the baby turtle which just hatched in the morning. My nephew was scared of the baby turtle, he dont even dare to hold the turtle and kept shouting ” no…no…no” when i put the turtle near to him. He really scared of those black color animals and insect.

After that, i brought my mum the turtle hatching area, and then we had a picnic at the seaside.

It’s been a long time i didnt picnic with my family. The feel was good especially when i saw my mum happy’s face. She really enjoyed the picnic. We ate snacks, had some drinks, watched the bluish sea and breathed the fresh air. It was so refreshing.

The weather turned bad in sudden. Windy day became rainy day. We quickly ran to our car. My mum made some coffee for us , we drank the coffee and chatted while watching the rain inside the car. It’s was an unforgettable day.

I was chatting with my colleague.

Suddenly,

“Gan, do you notice that u are putting on weight?” One of the boss said.

I thought he was talking to another Gan, so i didnt care about it.
Then, he speak up again..

“Do you realize about that?”

Ok… I didnt see the other Gan’s there, it’s mean that he was talking to me. So i looked at him and found that he was actually looking at me with one eyebrow up.
Everyone were looking at me at that moment, i was blushed and dunno how to answer.

[ Paused]

He was waiting for my respond.
“xx, you shouldn’t say that in front of so many people leh, i will feel ashamed.”

“Don worry, they all ur colleagues”

All my colleagues laughed at me.

So, i decided to put on diet on that moment. But then, i just feel hungry for every 4 hours. I’m not only having tea break now, i’m having supper as well. It’s just too hard for me to control my appetite. So i decide to satisfy my desire for food. The diet plan will only be implemented in my dream.

我要陪你去西藏 （和母亲的最后约定）

很早就在星洲日报读到这篇报道，关于一位七十多岁的老翁--王一民骑着三轮车载着年纪接近一百的母亲到西藏去。最近， 朋友借了这本书给我。还未读这本书前，我的感想是这位老翁很孝顺，而带母亲去旅行是每个子女都该做的啊。当读完了整本书后，才察觉我的想法是错误的。这个旅程不是我想象中那么简单，他所做的，不是每个人都能做到，而我肯定无法办到。一边读这本书，我一边落泪。整个路程，他细心的照顾他的母亲，替她准备每一餐， 洗澡， 清洗肮脏衣物等， 还要忍受年迈母亲的无理取闹和发牢骚。回想起我自己，我是个急性子的人，每次妈妈一发牢骚，我不是跟妈妈顶嘴，必定是走开；我也很少下厨煮给母亲吃，这让我觉得很惭愧。读了这篇文章后，让我感触很多，也让我想起生病时，妈妈是怎么陪我，照顾我。我希望我有王一民的耐心，也希望有他的勇气，能带着妈妈到所有她想去的地方。

Lion's Club Installation @ Charity Dinner at Equatorial

Last Friday, I was invited to a Charity Dinner ( Lion Club New Committee Installation ) at EQ. Since it was quite a grand function and it also my first time to attend this kind of event, so I had a great makeover.

This was how I looked after the makeover.

Me and my Ji Mui went there sharp on time. As I expected, only one third of the guest reached. It’s a Chinese’s tradition to be late for whatever function. We went in and found that our table being occupied by 4 of unknown guest and caused some of my friends who came a little bit late did not have seat. I felt irritated cause such a big event should have better arrangement. The 4 unknown guests were actually the sponsors and they should be seated at VIP seat.

The events started sharp on 7pm. I didn’t really watch the Installation Ceremony, only concentrated in my dinner and chatted with my friends. The dishes just so so only, but it still sufficient to fill my stomach.

A new friend

After the dinner, our plan to Arena blew-up. I joined my friends’ yum cha at Old Town Coffee. Then, we went for a midnight show at GSC. When my friend and me walked on the street, lots of people stared at us like we are alien (because of our make-up). I guess this kind of situation would not happen if I walked at KL Street.

This make-up caused me half an hour to totally remove it.

Tampin trip

Last Sunday, I went to hiking at Tampin. When we reached the foot of the hill, it’s started to rain and we were forced to change plan.

We went to Air Panas Gadek ( Gadek Hot Spring ).

The water was hot, around 40-60oC. I only dare to soak my leg in the hot spring. I soaked my leg for half an hour already make me sweat like pig, so u can imagine how hot is the water.

After that, we had a shower there, the bathroom was consider clean, however, the room stank out with some kind of smell that made me felt uncomfortable.

We had our dinner at one of the local Chinese restaurant. The foods quite tasty and the price were cheap. We ordered 6 dishes and it only cost RM 118.

Just after the dinner, we went to try a local famous mee – Longkang Mee. My friend said it was named Longkang Mee because last time they sold mee just beside Longkang ( = drain). The mee looked like Wantan Mee, it came with some pork and “ Char Siew” as topping. If you wanna eat Wantan, you needed to order it as side dish. I felt a bit disappointed with the Longkang Mee, it not tasty as described and it’s quite oily.

On the way back, me and Ivy stopped by at Uncle and Aunt Café, we tried the drinks there. I ordered Tiramisu Iced Blended while Ivy tried their Mocca Iced Blended. The appearance of the drinks quite nice, but my Tiramisu IB a bit creamy. Overall, the café impressed me much because of it environment.

I Love Saturday

I love Saturday, cause only on Saturday I can do the things I like: reading, surfing net, blogging, listening music and of course shopping.

Yeah… I went to shopping again on last Saturday, actually just planned to buy some tops, but end up with something fancy but not really necessary things…

We went to MP (Mahkota Parade), had high tea at “You Yi Dim Sum” before gear up for shopping.

These were what we had for our high tea.


I had Honey Dew Sago and a piece of Chicken Char Siew Pau.




Ivy had Papaya Tong Shui (i forgot the name of this dessert) and a piece of Curry Puff.

There are a lot of fancy cosmetic and skin care products. I get myself a BB cream, sleeping mask and a nail polisher. Almost buy a mascara, but I prefer Maybeline Volume Express, so didn’t buy it. Then, look for the tops that I planned to buy.

We went to Dataran Pahlawan after a long walk at MP. They had a fashion show at the hall.

We had our dinner at Newton Food court. Finally, i able to try the “Taiwan Zhu Cheong Fan” recommended by “Ho Chak” that I had been craved for it sometime. What so special about this Zhu Cheong Fan is the filling contain egg. The “Taiwan Zhu Cheong Fan” looks good, but the taste is not so delicious compare to common Zhu Cheong Fan.

Later, we went for movie. Initially, we planned to watch “Obsessed”, however, the time is kind of late, we end up watching an unpopular movie that doesn’t have any publicity at Malaysia media. It’s a Japanese movie named “ Dance Subaru”. The story was about the determination of a girl to be a Ballet dancer. The story was much better than “ Transformer” that I watch a day before. I had to admit that I don like robotic and animation movie.
